According to the Sun-Times, four Chicago Public Schools will remain open. The fortunate institutions include:
Mahalia Jackson on the South Side
Marcus Garvey on the South Side
Leif Ericson Elementary Scholastic Academy on the West Side
George Manierre Elementary School on the Near North Side
