Have you seen Rahm’s commercial that reported that he brought businesses into the city that created 73,000 jobs during his tenure?
Is anyone else wondering about those jobs? Did you get one of this gigs? Do you know anyone who did?
I have a lot of questions that I’m certain I’ll never get an answer to, but I’ll ask anyway.
- How many businesses came to Chicago?
- What types of positions were they?
- How many South Siders got those jobs?
- How many jobs were full-time, permanent?
- How many pay living wages?
- Do these employees receive health insurance and retirement benefits?

Youth Summit & Job Expo - May 31, 2014
Young people ages 15 and 21 can learn about summer jobs, internships, career options and gain access to other youth programs at the Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District Youth Summit & Job Expo on Saturday, May 31, 2014.
Sponsored by U.S. Congresswoman Robin Kelly, the event will be held at Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy, 250 E. 111th St. from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

May 31st is the last day for young people Ages 16 - 24 to apply for One Summer Chicago Jobs 2013, a partnership between Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle to create over 19,000 work, educational and recreational opportunities for youth this summer.
