Traveling Down Freedom’s Main Line: The Freedom Rides at 50 – May 7th

Take time from your busy schedule to learn more about the Freedom Riders, a group of over 400 young people – mostly American – who risked their lives to desegregate travel down South in the 1960s. This is their 50th anniversary, and we need to look in the faces of some of the people who made it possible for us to travel freely today. At least stop in to say “thank you.”
On Saturday, May 7th, WBEZ along with several other educational partners will hold Traveling Down Freedom’s Main Line at DuSable Museum of African American History from 3:30 p.m. to 5: 30 p.m. You have to RSVP for this free event.
