Shorty’s Views on Diversity & Segregation in Chicago

February 24th, 2010 by Shorty

Mayor Daley said that diversity is one of Chicago’s greatest assets, which I totally agree.  However, one has to wonder, how does a city that prides itself on diversity ranks as the most segregated city?

According to a report by the Chicago 77, a Chicago real estate blog, Chicago is the most segregated city.

While this information is based on real estate, there are several other ways  discrimination is occurring.  Also, what is being done to correct this injustice? Feel free to share your thoughts on this topic.
