The Assistant Online Program Director works closely with the Online Program Director and each radio station’s Programming, Marketing and Promotions staff to ensure that all sites reflect station priorities while creating and programming other brand-appropriate content.
Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Strong background in the online space. Skills in advanced HTML and CSS desired.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite
- Minimum three years experience producing content for the web
- Must be an idea factory, always coming up with new ways to keep content fresh
- Strong knowledge of pop culture and current events
- Good people skills and the desire to work in a team-oriented environment
- Must be highly organized
- The ability to work quickly and shift gears on a dime to capitalize on traffic opportunities
- Must a self-starter who excels at working independently
- Experience working with social media
- Experience managing employees a plus
- Omniture Site Catalyst experience a plus
- Knowledge of PHP a plus
- Healthy addiction to the Internet a must

Sales Assistant at Clear Channel – Deadline: 2/26/10

Clear Channel has an immediate opening for a Sales Assistant, who will support a group of approximately 10 Account Executives and report directly to the station Local Sales Manager and the station General Sales Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assist staff with sponsorship proposals and recaps
- Generating contract confirmations and invoices for staff upon request
- Submitting affidavits weekly
- Sending out spot times upon client request
- Generating reports in Viero and Radio Fusion and preparing for managers upon request, such as pool reports and unapproved credit
- Assist Account Credit Manager by recording and forwarding checks to station’s lockbox
- Performing general administrative duties including faxing, filing and copying
- Relieving receptionist when necessary
- Separate and distribute contracts to AE’s in a timely manner
- Attend and contribute to weekly Sales meeting with the team
- Prepare, edit and finalized sales presentations, type and proofread memos, letters and copy
- Provide assistance to staff regarding various software program
- Assisting AE’s with revisions when requested
- Other miscellaneous tasks as requested by managers and AE’s
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in MS programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills

Online Content Coordinator at Clear Channel

- Execute tactical plans in support of promotion and programming and revenue objectives of the Clear Channel Chicago radio stations.
- Assist Online Program Director in developing graphics that effectively capture the on-air personality and brand image of each of the Clear Channel Chicago radio stations.
Essential Duties:
- Support the OPD in coordination and development of internet content and creative for:
- Content Creation
- Web Page Design and Creation
- Weekly newsletters
- Answer Listener Emails
- Web Site Re-Design Processes
- Web Site Daily Content Maintenance
- Provide other graphic design where needed
- Provide technical assistance for staff blogging tools
- Provide website metrics when needed
- Assist in creating new and fun ways to drive traffic to our websites
Required Skills/Education & Certification:
- Minimum 3 years experience in internet or design

- Working knowledge of HTML & CSS
- Portfolio demonstrating strong and varied graphic design skills & styles

MEGA Promotions Internship

MEGA is offering a one semester, non-paid internship opportunity to students seeking insight and hands-on training within the workings of a major-market radio station. In addition to day-to-day working knowledge and experience obtained, participating students gain valuable “hands-on” work experience which will be applied and used during their post-collegiate employment positions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Prospective candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited university, college, or trade school with the opportunity to receive school credit for an internship. Interns must be in good academic standing and able to make a minimum 15 hour per week commitment and comply with institution’s requirements. Weekend availability is required. Prospective candidate must be able to accommodate a varied and flexible schedule, which may include nights and weekend hours. Internships are available all year round.
Attention to detail is imperative with this position. Student must also possess good work ethics such as punctuality, self-motivation, a willingness to learn and be people oriented and serious about moving their career forward.
A BIT ABOUT THE PROMOTION INTERN:
Intern will be the departmental liaison for all promotions events. The prospective intern will be the point person for organizing promotional campaigns. Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Maintaining a listener database of station contest winners
- Writing copy, distributing and compiling daily prize sheets
- Contacting daily winners to follow-up with prizing
- Assisting to compile documents to meet FCC regulations
- Actively pulling content to maintain the station website with content, graphics, pictures, web contests and other interactive media
- Acting as liaison between station and radio listeners
- Ensuring that station vehicles are packed to successfully execute station events
- Executing station events including client events as well as station promotional opportunities to enhance our brand, increase revenue and ratings
- Representing station in a positive manner at station events
- Assisting with filing, mailing and other office duties as assigned
