Joyland Park, the only African-American-owned amusement park in Chicago, was the Little Known Black History Fact on the Tom Joyner Morning Show on yesterday.  Located at 3301 S. Wabash in Bronzeville, Joyland Park existed from approximately 1923 – 1925.

Shorty’s note: Great things have and continue to happen on the South Side.  Unfortunately, many stories are never told because negativity sells for mainstream media.  I get that.  However, I am NOT mainstream media and there are millions of untold stories of greatness on the South Side.  And I’m on a mission to get as many out as possible.
